| The New Life Charitable Trust - serving helpless |
|
Welcome
to The New Life Charitable Trust is a registered non-governmental,
non-religious and non-profitable social service organization established
in 1991, with the sole objective of serving two segments of neglected
people in distress, the old destitutes with no trace of family and the young ones who are orphan.
We introduce ourselves as one of the service organizations under the name “New Life” are rendering service to humane for the past seventeen years in Eraiyur village in Sriperumbudur Taluk near Chennai. At present 58 old persons who have no kith and kin and 64 helpless children are housed in New Life along with 13 working staff. For maintaining the inmates with food, clothing and other needs, New Life always look towards the noble hearted people, who make liberal contributions towards food for the inmates on special occasions like their Birthdays, Wedding Days, Thanks giving, Death anniversaries etc. Needless to say that these contributions are not continuous and we are forced to run pillar to post to see that the inmates are fed with satisfaction. Our vision of providing shelter to the old destitute and orphans have been partly met with by noble hearted donors who have come forward to share our burden. With their liberal donations, we were able to transform the thatched sheds into full pledged buildings for housing the inmates and provide comforts for their stay. |

| The New Life Charitable Trust - Vision |
|
Our
motto "Looking Back Looking forward", justifies our approach
see backwards you will find a downtrodden, support him and show a
way of looking forward and take forward along with others. This requires
a consistent amount of funds and we express our gratitude, come and
help to fulfill our objectives, there is no better way than help those
who are left alone, let me tell you no body was born orphan and destitute. |

| The New Life Charitable Trust - Your Helping Hand |
|
Having achieved some basic needs, the time has come for us to think in terms of stability, as this noble venture has to continue without any hindrance in future. Further we have to work towards fulfilling one of our visions - the uplift of the villagers through vocational training and forming SHGs. Our vision, present activities, growth and needs are outlined in the annexure, which we do hope is self explanatory. Apart from the regular expenses there is a need for funds towards capital expenses for improvements in/maintenance of infrastructure to enhance the quality of our work. A Corpus Fund has been created so far for the maintenance and/or other activities of the Trust to achieve the goal:
- A Corpus /Endowment Funds
- Infrastructure Fund
- Fostorship program
- Legacies
In case you need any additional information, we will be glad to provide the same, including the past years’ account statements. In case you want to have a personal look of our organisation, we shall be too glad to arrange for your visit and interact with our inmates who eagerly wait for such occasions. |

| The New Life Charitable Trust - The
Journey |
|
The
journey of The New Life Charitable Trust, to show light and give new
life began on October 2nd 1991, in Eraiyur Village,
located in Sriperumbudur, Tamilnadu, India to render a selfless service
to parentless and the old. Starting with two inmates relieved from
a Government Hospital, New Life has never turned a blind eye over
the destitute and orphans, and is now well established with over 122
inmates (64 helpless orphan children and 58 old destitute men &
women). This service organization to humane takes care of the basic
three requirement feeding, clothing and education to all its inmates
and the final rituals when unfortunately the elderly of our children
leaves us for god's abode. Medical aid has become imperative and is
given to all inmates, extending to whole of the village with a population
of around 1600 once a week through periodical medical camps conducted
at New Life Trust Medical Center. As the village is at remote place
with no primary medical facility available as far as 9 kilometers,
For any serious ailment and emergency the inmates are admitted at
Hindu Mission Hospital, Tambaram, where free treatment is administered,
but the medicines have to be purchased from the open market. |
